Job Description As our Cook at Atelier by Sofitel, you will play an essential role in demonstrating the “Passion for Excellence” through serving our guests with flair and professionalism, ensure all guests are provided with personalised service and embody the art of French hospitality through a “can do” attitude. Other duties include, but not limited to: Knowledge of all basic cooking methods including preparation of meats, vegetables and fruits. Assist in setting up station for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Assist in preparing, cooking, and plating menu items and special requests from guests. Assist in preparing and setting up for dinner service in the Atelier by Sofitel Restaurant according to hotel and Sofitel guidelines. Meeting and where possible exceeding customer and guest expectations, enabling the Food and Beverage operation of the hotel to be recognized as purveying consistent, quality and value for money cuisine. Ensuring food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques meet Sofitel Brand Standard and are maintained at that level. Ensuring the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintain to meet Work Health & Safety regulations and HACCP food preparation guidelines. Accountable for the cleanliness and maintenance of all equipment, counter tops, and shelves.
